THE CHALLENGE.

Loewe approached Modum to conduct a search for a newly created position. Placement of which was vital, due to the Brand being in a moment of significant growth.  

The challenge was to find seasoned profiles at Directorship level who could design strategies to drive growth and maximise store performance; lead, revolutionise Operations and Training; steer Retail Excellence with a client focus globally and own the transformation of Retail into omnichannel.

THE SEARCH.

Having an established and diverse candidate network at this level, meant that we were quickly able to identify interesting profiles. We also went out to market and sourced further candidates. The short list was therefore provided within two weeks. It was critical that we presented profiles with the right background and skill set, alongside a strong cultural fit and able to contribute to the growth strategies of the Company.

THE CHALLENGE.

Our client Jessica McCormack was seeking a Global Director of Product, to redefine the Brand’s end-to-end product infrastructure and oversee production and merchandising. As part of the Leadership team, partnering with the CEO, the role will drive global product procurement to merchandising analysis and distribution strategy. The Brand required profiles with significant international experience within fine jewellery, which made the search relatively specific.

To ensure we could generate a targeted short list, we mapped the market and assessed a multitude of candidates. We were seeking those profiles who had luxury, fine jewellery experience with exposure to production and merchandising alike, with a strong knowledge on sustainability and ethical sourcing. HR & PEOPLE CASE STUDY – LOEWE.
HR DIRECTOR FOR EUROPE & MIDDLE EAST.

THE CHALLENGE.

With Loewe’s accelerated growth across Europe & the Middle East we were asked to identify an HR Leader to support the Brand’s expansion. The successful profile would set and drive the HR strategy for the region aligned to the overall business goals and objectives.

We were clear that we needed to find HR Professionals with proven experience of designing HR plans balancing regional specifics with global goals; and who could collaborate closely with commercial leaders of the business for commercial alignment.

THE SEARCH.

Modum defined a shortlist within two weeks. All candidates had proven experience to develop HR strategies whilst harmonizing regional nuances across the zone. We focused our search to source strategic partners who could lead on all facets of HR, to revitalize recruitment, with strong financial acumen and of course a strong leader to oversee the execution of robust employee relations. The ideal candidate would be a seasoned HR practitioner with retail and international exposure.

THE CHALLENGE.

Belstaff sought our expertise to assist them with this exciting senior search. The key objective of the recruitment was to source a profile to successfully lead the development and delivery of the digital and physical retail strategy.

We were looking for candidates that had significant experience in ecommerce, with international and multichannel scope who could craft and implement a cohesive digital and in-store strategy; Boost core metrics including sales and engagement and reinforce Belstaff’s digital identity in harmony with in-store experiences.

THE SEARCH.

We targeted profiles in the market that had a digital and omnichannel exposure and vision. We were seeking those profiles that had expertise in luxury e-commerce, along with proficiencies in systems to drive Omnichannel and drive performance. A shortlist was provided in two weeks with a smooth recruitment and selection process over 10 weeks.

Within a concise 10-week time frame, our search culminated in the appointment of an Omnichannel Director. THE CHALLENGE.

MATCHESFASHION.COM, in its quest to redefine luxury shopping, and continue their journey of growth, engaged Modum to seek a Head of Private Shopping.

The purpose of the role was to redefine and evolve the strategy for the Brand’s top tier customers, whilst scaling the team globally to deliver a unique experience resulting in the overall growth and ambition of the Brand.

THE SEARCH.

The search was underpinned by defining a shortlist of profiles who embodied luxury eCommerce insight with a deep understanding of high-spending clients and a knowledge of devising strategies to cultivate these relationships. Their roots in luxury fashion and agility in fast-paced settings was also part of our search criteria.
We delivered a shortlist in two weeks. The search evolved as we went through the process with the Brand and the position was redefined to a director level.

THE OUTCOME.

MARKETING CASE STUDY – CHRISTIAN DIOR.
RETAIL MARKETING MANAGER ROLE.

THE CHALLENGE.

Christian Dior asked Modum to help identify a Retail Marketing Manager to oversee the UK & Ireland region.  The overall objective of this role was to implement the EMEA strategy for marketing and client engagement within the zone.

From the detailed brief we were clear we needed to source profiles who could confidently navigate an EMEA strategy and in turn adapt it to the UK & Ireland demographic. Profiles also needed be proficient in creating brand aligned, engaging marketing campaigns to reflect Dior’s heritage and innovation.

THE SEARCH.

Having worked with Dior across multiple roles at varying levels, we had an existing strong portfolio of candidates who we were confident would be a good match for this key position. The search required finding seasoned profiles who had experience in client loyalty, product and events strategy whilst reflecting the specific rich Brand culture. We were able to therefore generate a short list within two weeks.

BUYING & MERCHANDISING CASE STUDY – CHRISTIAN DIOR.
PRODUCT MERCHANDISING MANAGER UK & IRELAND.

THE CHALLENGE.

As part of our ongoing partnership with Christian Dior, Modum was engaged to support with a key search for a Product Merchandising Manager for the UK & Ireland region.

Evidently, it was important to find a profile who could embody Dior’s values and strive for excellence. The main objective of the position was to drive sales and implement business initiatives. The role spanned across all product categories and was highly strategic, so finding this broad, senior skillset was imperative.

It was also critical that the profiles proposed to the Brand, were capable to oversee the analytical and financial components of the business, whilst acting as the link between Retail and HQ, ensuring optimal seasonal stock management and foreseeing market trends.

THE SEARCH.

The ideal candidate needed to possess a deep comprehension of luxury retail, be adept at boutique analysis, and have client-focused strategies. Alongside a passion for Dior.
